Crimson Viper, also known as Maya, is an American fighter employed by S.I.N., and presumed head of the "Battle Suit" Project. In reality, Crimson Viper is a secret agent under the employ of a U.S. government agency, presumably the CIA. She entered and participated in the mid-90's world tournament under the guise of acquiring data for the Battle Suit for S.I.N., though her true motives were to acquire data from the BLECE Project, in addition to eliminating "Number 15" - Seth.
After her mission was completed, Viper retured to her life in America with her daughter Lauren.
C Viper has been part of the MVC roster since Marvel Vs. Capcom 3 (2011).

- First mentioned in Retro Assist Me! Part 3 - when Max and Doom flee Captain Commando's suite, Commando calls Maya on the phone and orders her to cancel all his appointments. It's implied that during Captain Commando's altered history, she came to work for him as he had become a major world power. Of course, once Max and Doom fix the timeline, she's no longer affiliated with Captain Commando.
